When the forecast looks questionable but carrying a bulky waterproof isn't an option, the Swazi Sentinel Ultralite Jacket comes into its own. This lightweight men's waterproof jacket combines serious wet-weather protection with a packable design that weighs just 500g in a size Large.
Built using Swazi's AEGIS® 3-Layer Watershield Strata fabric, the Sentinel Ultralite delivers a 20,000mm waterproof rating and 20,000g/m²/24hr breathability rating, while remaining completely windproof. It's designed as a technical outer shell for farmers, stalkers, hunters, outdoor workers and anyone who needs dependable protection when the weather turns.
The real advantage is what happens when you don't need it. The Sentinel Ultralite rolls neatly into its own hood, making it easy to keep in a rucksack, vehicle or kit bag until rain arrives. At less than 500g, there's very little penalty for carrying a proper waterproof with you. The high periphery vision hood is particularly useful when you're working outdoors and need to maintain a clear view, while the adjustable hem and scalloped tail provide additional coverage when you're working, walking or crouching in wet conditions.
With enough room through the chest and body to wear your usual layers underneath, the Sentinel Ultralite is a versatile outer layer rather than a bulky winter coat.
