An ISO reading of 940 indicates cloudy, windy weather with possible rain and storms - just the rating Betacraft's gear is designed to withstand effortlessly.

Like any product you buy, Betacraft garments are going to naturally wear and tear over time. This means the guarantee does not cover natural weathering of the garment, or improper use. A product will be considered beyond useful life when it's damaged or worn beyond the possibility of repair or restoration to a fully functional waterproof, windproof and breathable condition.
We encourage customers to think about the type of work they intend to do while they are wearing the products, if they will require additional insulation layers, how many pockets they like and if they prefer some stretch to their waterproofs.

The ISO940 range has a Tetratec four-layer fabric construction that works together to give both ultimate waterproofness as well as breathability. The four layers consist of a durable outer ripstop fabric and a PU inside backer, combined with a PU lining and polyester backer.
5,000mm and Below: Jackets in the 5,000mm and below range are designed for light rain and drizzles.
10,000mm: This range offers solid entry-level protection, ideal for work or outdoor activities in dry or mildly wet conditions. While they can handle moderate rain, extended exposure to heavy downpours may push their limits.
15,000mm and above: These are the cream of the crop, and offer top waterproofing and often breathability performance in wet conditions. The Betacraft ISO940 range falls under this category.
