Line 7 started in 1963 with a range of wet-weather wear for sailors. New Zealand’s high rainfall and harsh conditions proved the perfect testing ground - and Line 7’s reputation for outstanding clothing was born. This is truly hard wearing gear and promises to keep you dry in the harshest conditions, these coats really do take some beating!

    Our recommendation: Use the above size guide to find the size that correlates to your inch chest. Then, go down one entire size. For example if you are a 40-41 inch chest, we would recommend a size Medium for the best fit.

      CARE INSTRUCTIONS

      When you are washing garments, have a look at the tag on the inside for the care instruction and follow closely.

      Tips:
      • Rinse down the product like you would the boat or equipment, its ok to lightly brush off stubborn mud.
      • Put the garments through a wash (be sure to follow care instructions) We would also recommend using a waterproof specific washing liquid too.
      • If the care instructions allow, put them in the dryer on low heat, this can help re-invigorate water repellency.

      Great piece of kit

      The jacket feels very robust and well made. I have been out in sideways wind/rain for a few hours at a time and the jacket has performed really well-no water gets through.
      The hood is really well designed, the peak keeps out any driving rain.
      Had looked at a lot of jackets out in NZ recently and decided this was the one to go for. Robust and waterproof 👍🏻

      Line7 storm Jacket/overtrousers

      I have recently returned from the alps having purchased the jacket for walking etc. The jacket had heavy snowfall.Rain and minus 10 whilst away . I used it everyday and it was a superb waterproof layer. Sizing agree is slightly out but I tried both XS/Medium and both fitted but for using layers for warmth I went with the medium.

      I'm very happy with the coat. I used it recently in 10 degree (Fahrenheit) weather and with proper layering underneath worked comfortably in the snow for a couple of hours. It looks like it will work just as well in warm weather. I haven't put it through much punishment but it feels durable enough and is clearly well constructed.

      My only complaint is the sizing. I used the sizing chart to order a medium and was absolutely swimming in it. Switched it out for an XS and it's great, but I'm left wondering what demographic these are designed around. I'm about 6' tall and 160lbs, and if I was much smaller the XS would be big.

      Overall very happy!
